Looks like a fantastic opportunity to dust down those 28mm Hellenistic pike armies and march them out into the long-wet-dark that is Cardiff in December.

That’s a massive amount of thought and consideration your put into selecting those list choices Mike – hats off to you for the effort.

I for one will be looking forward to another cracking event.

    • Honestly it’s a pleasure! Do the North Koreans have to thank Kim il Sung Jun? No, if I see one orphan happy at Christmas, why that’s my reward😫😔

  2. Brian (a shoe! a shoe!)

What about the Judean’s People’s Front for the Liberation of Palestine? Or the Judea Popular Front?

What has LaDG ever done for us I ask you???

  3. Faroenough

Saitic Egyptian – I think there’s some ointment you can get for that!

I have a horrible idea I won’t be able to make it this year as I have a commitment I cannot get out of on 9/12.
On the plus side it will save me buying and painting another new army to fit the period.

Not sure how that would be a ‘saver’ ticket if I eat my savings on figures…ah well maybe I can put something together 🙂

  5. Brian of Nazareth - the Masseur (a C1st AD dyslexic copywriter has a lot to answer for)

Go for the Dave Allen, Colin Evans and Nigel Poole (god rest his soul) approach – 1/72nd plastics it is the only answer!!!
You can probably build an entire army for the cost of the Seven Bridge toll Phil and still have change from a welsh £15 note.

    • Heretic….there is nothing like the heft of 28mm bank balance busting metal warriors! The antidote to Bodley Scott’s gloss painted Airfix Celtic almughavars! You have been warned!

      • Mark

They are termed “Vintage” in modern terminology I’ll have you know!

  6. Philip Mackie

Well it is certainly a thought – but not for long! Actually I have found an half finished 28mm army that fits the bill.
